Seasonal Italian – Autunno/Autumn

Our autumn Italian looks ahead to the cooler season and, as usual, takes its inspiration from the little known gem of Le Marche, on the Adriatic side of Italy, which we know so well. The emerald green mountains are turning russet, temperatures drop to almost freezing during the night but on sunny days are back up above 20C and the truffle dogs are out with their masters, sniffing down the region’s famed white truffles…
We admit that our mouths watered when we designed this autumn menu based on food memories from our home away from home in Le Marche. We hope you will feel inspired to join us for it.
Chestnut flour Papardelle with creamy Porcini, British scallops with pea and Mascarpone purée, whole roasted chicken with wild mushrooms and Marsala wine, Zabaglione with last of the summer fruits.
As always, we welcome you with coffee/tea and fresh cake from our next door café, lunch with our Italian wines which we buy directly from producers who we include in our culinary trips to Italy.
